Brisbane’s new Pokemon Team builder building has been completed with a grand opening planned for Saturday.
The building will house an exhibition room, office, fitness centre, training room and offices for the Pokemon team.
It will also house the building manager and design team.
The building was approved by Brisbane City Council last year.
The new building is part of the Pokemon Team Building project, which is expected to create more than 700 new jobs across Brisbane.
“We’ve had a fantastic response from the Brisbane community.
It’s been really rewarding,” Mayor of Brisbane Tim Carmody said.
He said the project was funded through a $15 million grant and the building was completed on time and within budget.
Mr Carmody and Brisbane City Manager Mike Scott said the new building would be a landmark for Brisbane.
“We are excited to have this building up and running as a showcase for Brisbane’s thriving and thriving gaming community,” Mr Carmody wrote in a statement.
Mr Scott said a number of other projects were underway in Brisbane, including the construction of the Brisbane Museum of Art.”
The building is a testament to the amazing work that the team behind this project has put in and will be a key part of Brisbane’s future.”
Mr Scott said a number of other projects were underway in Brisbane, including the construction of the Brisbane Museum of Art.
